This post has a few pictures from a visit to the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch (RPWR) in Gilbert, AZ.
I couldn’t resist posting another Anna’s. The sun made for good lighting, and the Anna’s was roosting for a long time. I just wish he would have turned his gorget to the sun so we could see the bright red throat. I’d like a shot like Rich Ditch got here! The Osprey with the fish came flying over unexpectedly, and the shot was underexposed. However, I like the hawk in profile, and the way the fish glimmers in the light. The American Pelicans had a nice pose, with their beaks parallel and pointing up.
