Visit to Sunriver and Portland Oregon, September, 2016

This post has a description and pictures from our trip to Oregon in September, 2016. On Tuesday evening, August 30, Mary Ann and I flew on a direct flight to the Bend/Redmond airport, which is the closest to Sunriver, on American Airlines (American Eagle). We left Portland the following Tuesday, September 6, on Southwest Airlines. In Portland we rented a Nissan Altima from Enterprise. Mary Ann found a great deal on the car!

Bob and Terry have a place in Sunriver, Oregon, which is about 10 miles south of Bend. We stayed there on Tuesday and Wednesday night, and headed to Portland on Thursday. Sunriver is very nice. There are a lot of bike paths and things to see. On the way to Portland we stopped in the city of Sisters for lunch.

We spent Friday through Tuesday in Portland. We saw Mom every day, and got to see her new place on Mt Tabor. I golfed with Bob and Bobby at Glendoveer on Saturday morning. We visited everybody and had some great meals – thanks to all for the hospitality! Thanks also to Bob and Terry for putting us up at their place, and putting up with us.

Mike and Jill hosted a family gathering at the club house of their condo. It was a lot of fun. You’ll see in the pictures people doing some strange activities. These were ‘minute to win it’ party games. Thanks to Mike and Jill for hosting the party!

There are more pictures than I normally post (71 total), but I included them all in this one post. I put them in order with the family pictures first (35 pictures, 30 from the family party), birds and coyote (16 pictures), Landscapes (7 pictures). At the end I have some goofy pictures of a rock skipping in the water after Tony threw it.

Here are the pictures:
