About

Welcome to Joe and Mary Ann’s personal web site. I don’t really know why we need a website, or what we’ll use it for. I wanted to learn more about it, so we decided to create the page and decide what to do with it then. Our plan right now is to use for things like the following:
– Share photographs with family
– Share recipes
– Document ‘things’ like home projects, books read, etc
– Share Photographs (birds, landscape)
– Website development

Who knows, maybe we’ll publish the next great American novel on this website.

I’m a novice web developer. I’m just using WordPress and learning as I go. I’m sure the website will change over time.

I love your bird pictures. I have been a lifelong bird watcher. Even the pictures of the turkey vulture is great. I miss them during the winter.

    Dad-

There is some seriously cool stuff on your website. I do feel, however, that you might need your designer son to help you make it a little more sleek. Right now it looks like something an engineer would do.

We’ll talk more about this later….

I am now a subscriber!!! Nice picture of Portland trip and I love the pictures of pictures — not sure how you make them so good. Is there a way to increase the size of the pics when looking at them on the site or as a slide show?

Hi Ricci. Thanks for subscribing! I reduce the size of the pictures for the website so that they load quickly, and are the right size on the screen. This reduces the resolution on the photos, but you don’t notice on a small screen like your computer or iPad. If you want a higher resolution copy of the photo, just let me know, and I will send it to you (either in email, or as a link). The higher resolution will look better on a large print, or if you are projecting it as a large image.

Came across your pages of beautiful images. Loving looking through it. Just terrific, thanks for sharing what you find with the rest of us less able.
